Hobbies

I am a mother of 5 grown children, one with learning challenges so I understand how frustrating learning can be. I struggled with the same challenges as a child and understand how important my tutors were in helping me achieve success when it seemed to come easily to others. Positive reinforcement and encouragement are critical to successful learning. I have an entrepreneurial spirit, having owned several successful small businesses and now I am engaged in pursuing scholarship for the sake of gaining new knowledge and understanding. I have traveled extensively in North America, Europe and the Caribbean. Understanding different cultures and points of view is important to me. I am particularly passionate about Italy. I have lived in Florence and have traveled extensively throughout the peninsula.
